A postdoctoral position in breast MRI analysis is available. The
successful candidate will be expected to develop novel enhancement
segmentation and classification methods for significantly improving
the specificity of dynamic MRI in detecting and diagnosing breast
cancer. Both a spatiotemporal registration method and an enhancement
segmentation method will be developed. Also, a novel enhancement
classification method for differentiating between benign and malignant
enhancements for both mass and non-mass enhancement cases will be
developed.
The successful candidate should have a strong background on Electrical
or Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science, preferably with
emphasis on image registration, segmentation, and
classification. Experiences on deformable registration, adaptive
segmentation (i.e., graph cut), and non-linear classification are
highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be part of a diverse group including
radiologists, psychologists, physicists, biostatistician, and computer
scientists, and will build upon the group's previous work on medical
image analysis.
