http://www.mammoimage.org/ that we recently developed. Since this kind
of page does not exist and we believe that mammographic image analysis
is an important research area, we wanted to give prospective
researchers a place to start on the Internet. Materials currently
published on the web-site are what we believe every researcher in this
area should read. Web-site is designed to be a portal, so you will
notice numerous links to other research groups, links to relevant
journals, books, databases etc. Another issue also worth mentioning
is that this is a non- commercial, purely academic
web-site. Hopefully, this effort will increase the number of
researchers in this area and improve the state-of-the-art in
mammographic image analysis.

Please feel free to inform all your colleagues who might be interested
in this web-site. If you like the web-site yourself, please feel free
to put a link to it on your web-page as well.

Besides, we would be most grateful if you could send us any
comments, suggestions and corrections that could improve our
Mammographic Image Analysis Homepage.

Finally, it is our pleasure to inform you that we have also
established a Mammographic Image Analysis Research Community
newsgroup. It can be reached here:
http://groups.google.com/group/mammoimage/

or through our Mammographic Image Analysis Homepage at:
http://www.mammoimage.org/newsgroup/

We hope that you will find this kind of communication useful and that
this initiative will help researchers exchange ideas and learn from
each other. Students and researchers new in the field are also
encouraged to post their questions on this newsgroup and thus
hopefully get help from more experienced colleagues. Like the
Mammographic Image Analysis Homepage itself, this newsgroup is
intended to be strictly academic and non-commercial. Please join this
group and let's make together a strong virtual community!
